1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible

Many people who have wanted to buy a truly new and distinctive fine car have waited for this time – and this automobile.

Lincoln had started the decade of the ’60’s with the intent of gaining ground on Cadillac. They believed Cadillac’s success was in large part due to its consistent appearance. It featured styling cues year-in and ear-out that enabled the public to identify it immediately as a Cadillac. Thus, in 1961 Lincoln introduced its famous “suicide door” design. This would last through to the end of the decade. A 2-door was added in 1966 that retained the styling of the 4-door save for the doors.

The Lincoln four door convertible first came on the scene in the 1961 model year. The Lincoln for 1961 only came in two models, the four door sedan, and four door convertible. The last year for the four door convertible or any Lincoln Convertible for that matter was 1967.
