1997 Hummer H1 Convertible

The Hummer H1 was a civilian off-road vehicle based on the M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV, or Humvee), which was created by AM General. The vehicle was produced from 1992 through 2006, and was the first of what became the Hummer line.

Originally released in the civilian market in 1992, the Hummer H1 owed its birth to the popularity of photos from Operation Desert Storm and the enthusiastic campaign from actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who personally owns several variants of Hummer vehicles .

The Hummer H1 is world-renowned for its intimidating presence. It has an impressive width of 86.5 inches and an overall length of 184.5 inches. The truck’s low center of gravity, long wheelbase and 72-inch track make it extremely stable in variable road conditions and surfaces. Its 16-inch vertical ground clearance is almost double that of any other 4×4. With an approach angle of 72 degrees and a descent angle of 37.5 degrees, obstacles quickly become non-issues. The Hummer H1 is powered by a 6.5-liter turbo-diesel manufactured by AM General.

Under the hood a 6.5-liter GM turbo-diesel V8 with a 4-speed GM 4L80-E Automatic deliver smooth, effortless driving with all the 4X4 characteristics. This intimidating off-road vehicle is in good overall condition showing normal signs of wear. The exterior is black with gold decals, black vinyl soft top and a tan leather interior in very good condition. Loaded with options including leather, Front Winch, Trailer Hitch and newly installed 37X12.50R16.5LT Super Swamper Radial TSL Tires. The “real deal,” a true off-road vehicle with serious off-road capabilities.
