Over 5 million have been built and sold with 137 different models produced. Built as direct competition to the German Bubble cars that were becoming increasingly popular due to the fuel crisis of 1956, which had caused petrol rationing throughout the U.K.. The first Mini was launched in August 26, 1959. It became a symbol of the swinging sixties with owners including the Beatles, Peter Sellers, Steve McQueen and many others!
Unique RHD 1961 Austin Mini Mk1 with a rare Pullback Roof. This car has been modified from its original version with various upgrades and thousands invested over the years. The engine was upgraded to a MG Metro 1300cc with a single SU Carb and 4 speed manual transmission. Both interior and exterior have been restored. The exterior paint is British Racing Green with various Mini Cooper Decals, racing hood stripes, Cooper front grille with driving lights and Mini Light Wheels. The interior is finished in black vinyl and shows extremely well! This gorgeous RHD Mini looks great and drives amazing!
