1974 Porsche 914 Targa

The Porsche 914 was first shown at the Frankfurt International Automobile Exhibition and was a joint venture between Porsche and Volkswagen in which Porsche assumed the design and engineering duties to usual effect. Running with a horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine with a five-speed manual transmission, the car is an efficient mid-engine platform that provides precise handling characteristics due in large part to the low lines, engine location, long wheelbase and nearly non-existent front and rear body overhang.

Finished in black with yellow, this Porsche 914 is an overall very nice car with a very clean interior. The bucket seats are leather with cloth inserts, which is not original. The car also features a perfect dash with VDO instruments, Sony CD player, black and yellow check-weave floor mats, rear defroster, glass targa top, a second vinyl targa top, tinted glass, honeycomb-style aluminum wheels and Dunlop 15-inch tires. The engine shows as original and the body is straight with similarly precise panel fit, perfect lens and excellent chin spoiler. The odometer registers approximately 76,000 miles though the title shows exempt.
