The Chevrolet Corvette first appeared in 1953 as a unique American entry into the sports car market dominated by European makes. Although not a muscle car by definition, the Corvette used muscle car powertrains and has represented Americanperformance for almost fifty years.

In each year between 1960 and 1962, performance and styling enhancements made it more and more appealing to a wide variety of buyers. 1961 was the first year forCorvette trademark quad taillights. In 1962, engine displacement was increased to327 cu. in. and top horsepower was up to 360.

There were only subtle differences in the body for 1962. Most noteworthy was the lack of chrome trim around the coves, which meant you could no longer order two-tone paint. Production jumped to 14,500 for this last year of the introductory C1 Corvette.

Fitted to this car; a NUMBERS MATCHING 327 cubic inch 340 HP V-8 engine. The transmission is a 4 Speed Manual. The exterior is Ermine White with a gorgeous Red Vinyl interior, working Wonderbar Radio and white soft Top in great condition. Very Solid example, stunning older restoration. Not only is this Classic Muscle Car extremely appealing, but it also runs and drives very well. This car would be a great addition to any collection.
